The cake topper is so cute! Granted I want to make fanart of Mouse Guard, but I don't know what cloak color my boyfriend and I have. I wish there was a general guide to the colors.

Mary,

The color choice is a subjective judgement by the mentor. So reds could represent anger and aggression -or- passion and romance -or- to symbolize a type of rose special to the mouse or mentor.

Googling "color connotations' or 'color meanings' will give you several sites with their takes on color choices.
